Your role and responsibilitiesProposal Team Management: Lead and manage a team of proposal engineers, providing guidance, mentoring and support to ensure the delivery of high quality proposals within specified deadlinesWork with Sales Operations Director to develop and implement best practices, quality processes and templates to streamline the proposal development lifecycleCoach, mentor and develop direct and functional reports within HR (Human Resource) polices to build a high performance teamOversee the proposal team loading and proposal development schedule, ensuring timely completion and submission of proposalsPrepare Executive overview and Full Cost Models for Risk Review presentations. Be able to articulate the scope, risks, mitigation plans for approvalMaintain Salesforce RFQ queues and reports for tracking and monitoring RFQs (Request for quotations) and proposals of the teamProposal Writing (Individual contributor): Actively contribute to the development of persuasive and well structured proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs and RFP (Request for proposal​) requirementsCollaborate with subject matter experts to gather technical information and translate complex concepts into clear, concise and compelling proposal content
Qualifications for the roleBachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field and a preferred 8 years of experience; alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments8 plus years of experience in engineering/project management in distributed control systems (DCS) projects; experience in proposal writing/management preferredProven experience managing and leading proposal teams to successful outcomesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and full cost modelsSome travel may be necessary (less than 10 percent)Individual must be able to demonstrate initiative and motivation to achieve the results with minimal supervisionCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
