Summary: Goldbelt Apex LLC is looking for an exceptional proposal technical writer with extensive experience. As a key player in the Proposal Development Team, this role is crucial for crafting persuasive and compliant capture and proposal materials in response to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs). The Proposal Technical Writer will provide comprehensive lifecycle proposal support for business opportunities, driving the creation of draft content, planning, template development, and the writing and editing of essential proposal volumes and sections, including technical approaches, management plans, transition plans, quality assurance plans, resumes, past performance, and narrative volumes, leading all the way to successful submission. *This remote position requires occasional travel as needed. Since it is a remote role, a dedicated workspace conducive to full videoconferencing (camera and audio) for facilitating webinars and online discussions is necessary. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Validate writing assignments and outlines against the requirements of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and contribute to the design and planning of proposal sections. Provide and coordinate the development of proposal documents by collaborating directly with Capture Managers, Solution Architects, and Content Providers to meet solicitation requirements. Write concise and persuasive sections for competitive proposals, clearly articulating the chosen approach by the proposal leadership team while adhering to RFP guidelines and format limitations. This may involve taking the lead in developing an approach for a specific section or working closely with designated subject matter experts (SMEs) and content providers. Ensure that the writing of proposal sections is clear, compliant, compelling, and persuasive, translating complex ideas into easily understandable text. Research material needed for the assigned sections, including team contract and programmatic experience needed for validation. Use communication and interviewing skills to gather necessary information from internal and external personnel to support writing activities. Actively participate in a collaborative team environment to convey solutions, strategies, approaches to completing the work, relevant experience, win themes and differentiators. Produce text that is compliant with all requirements. Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, SharePoint, and desktop publishing functions in Word. Ability to create basic charts and figures using various applications. Strong computer skills with MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Teams. Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute. Ability to edit text for style and grammar. Proven track record of writing complaint and compelling proposal sections in response to government solicitations for various departments and agencies (e.g., HHS, DHS, CDC, NIH). Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment Minimum Qualifications: BA or BS degree or higher (or equivalent) in fields such as Journalism, English, Business, Information Technology, or Communication Arts. A minimum of 4 years of experience in federal proposal writing, preferably focused on solutions-based proposals. Knowledge and experience in writing proposals related to data analytics, mission support services, humanitarian services, health, and response services. Familiarity with procurement processes and proposals. The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 annually.
