GiaCare Inc. is now accepting applications for experienced, civilian Prosthetic Technicians at the San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC/BAMC) in support of Fort Sam Houston Army Base (San Antonio, Texas).

Schedule/Hours

Monday-Friday (40-hours weekly)

6AM to 6PM (8-hour shifts)

Requirements

Education
Prosthetic technicians must graduate form an ABC accredited institution. Years of experience maybe substituted for education at the discretion of the department.

Certifications
Shall have current Basic Life Support (BLS) by way of the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Experience
Shall have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a prosthetic orthotic technician within the past five (5) years. Background experience and proficiency in general fabrication procedures of orthotic prosthetic devices, which include working with thermal plastic, lamination, resin, metal, leather, plaster and prosthetic/orthotic components.
