Hiring a Protein Biochemist for a great lab in Alameda, CA!!

M-F day shift

Description

· Expression of recombinant proteins from E. coli and insect cell systems

· Purification of recombinant proteins from E. coli and insect cell systems using affinity and traditional chromatography (e.g. SEC, IEX) techniques

· Characterize proteins by SDS-PAGE, Abs280, size exclusion chromatography (SEC), Western blot

· Familiarity with standard molecular biology techniques including transformation

· Familiarity recording, analyzing, and interpreting experimental data

· Maintain proper laboratory notebooks

· Comply with safe laboratory practices and EH&S guidelines

· Familiarity with FPLC systems (e.g. Akta) is a plus

· Familiarity with biophysical techniques (e.g. SEC-MALS, DSF, SPR, etc.) is a plus

· Familiarity with protein crystallization and/or cryo-EM sample preparation is a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00
