We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Prototype Production Engineer II. In this role, you will support operations in a fast paced prototype machining facility.
Core Responsibilities:
• Write clear and concise work instructions for use in
production
• Collaborate with customers to understand their needs
• Spec out and purchase machining tools for production
• Troubleshoot production issues
• Perform basic shop tasks as necessary
• Work with production to optimize processes and improve
efficiency
• Design and build fixturing
• Utilize CAD software to create detailed designs and
models
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective
actions for manufacturing issues
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace
Engineering
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks or PTC Creo
preferred)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks or PTC Creo
preferred)
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret
Desired Skills:
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action
implementation
• Experience with design and production using composite
materials on Hypersonic Vehicles
• Experience with additive manufacturing and DfAM
principles
• Familiarity with the application of 3D scanning and a
basic understanding of GD&T principles
• Experience with robotics or other forms of automation
• Experience with assembly and integration of prototype
systems
• Familiarity with standard AS9100 practices
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
