Provider Services Production Assistant

Residency in or relocation to Louisiana is preferred for all positions. **Grade 03** **POSITION PURPOSE** The Provider Services Production Assistant works independently as well as collaboratively with the Provider Services team to manage the existing provider network. In addition to loading new providers, the Production Assistant is also responsible for managing and responding to a high volume of questions in a timely and professional manner regarding providers, their contracts, and claims via email, telephone, and fax. **NATURE AND SCOPE** + This role does not manage people + This role reports to this job: Provider Services Supervisor **QUALIFICATIONS** **Education** + High school diploma or equivalent **Work Experience** + Minimum of 1 year of relative experience in production-driven role preferred + Experience in corporate office setting preferred **Skills and Abilities** + Ability to type minimum of 40 WPM with accuracy + Ability to navigate through multiple computer programs with ease including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) + Highly organized and efficient with strong attention to detail + Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff **Licenses and Certifications** + None required. **ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** + Maintain existing Providers in QNXT, the website, and on provider lists + Complete provider setup in the BCBSLA Web Portal + Provide ongoing provider training on portal usage, assisting with any questions and/or issues that arise + Research and respond to VTask issues including but not limited to provider changes and/or updates, returned mail, etc. + Work Provider Relations fax daily + Complete claim return letters for data entry requests + Complete provider updates received via email, mail, and fax + Manage and audit Web Portal **Additional Accountabilities and Essential Functions** _The Physical Demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the Accountabilities and Essential Functions of the job.
