Job Description:
Purpose• Intermountain health is seeking providers in selected specialties to support their peers by becoming certified Epic provider trainers (Provider Specialty Epic Trainer or “PSET”) and providing in-person and/or virtual support after Epic go-live on September 06, 2024. Providers in this role will begin their job responsibilities before provider superusers, who will provide go-live support but not participate in provider training activities. They will join PSELs (Provider Specialty Epic Leads) who will be performing similar training and support activities.
• The role is open to Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
Job Essentials
• Work collaboratively with members of the Digital Technology Services (DTS) Learning and Engagement and Epic Training teams.
• Take Epic training early in March 2025 (Not paid hours, all providers attend this training).
• Spend up to 20 hours attending PSET kickoff, reviewing curriculum, practicing training delivery, and conducting a teach back to become an Epic Credentialed Trainer. (April-May 2025).
• Spend up to 96 hours, approximately 8 hours a week x 12 weeks, training providers in your specialty (June-August 2025).
• Spend up to 40 hours providing in-person and/or virtual support to end-users during the first two to three weeks after go-live (September 2025).
• Training sessions are offered Monday-Saturday between 8am-10pm – scheduling flexibility will be needed to meet specialty needs.
• Total time commitment is up to 156 hours.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Approval of clinical supervisor to engage in the above activities, which depending on individual circumstances may interfere with current job responsibilities.
