Onin Staffing is taking applications for several positions at Prystup Packaging!

These positions can involve lifting and moving materials that could weigh up to 50 pounds as well as bending and moving frequently

Knowledge of technology to learn the company’s business management system (Synchronous Flow) in order to meet production goals and the technology associated with company software systems (ASI) for entering production data.

Responsible for adhering to company directives, production schedules, policies, procedures, rules and regulations established by Prystup Packaging Products, Inc. and administered by the respective Supervisors.

MUST have a high school diploma or GED

Work Experience

Packer/Feeder:

Rotates between feeding unglued cartons into the feeding mechanism of the gluer/folder machine and loading glued cartons into a corrugated box as they move forward from a gluer/folder machineInspects cartons while feeding or packing cartons to ensure quality and compliance to customer specification requirements for each job and notifies the Finishing Department Technician of any issues according to the SOPs (standard operating procedures) established by Prystup Packaging Products, Inc. and administered by the Finishing Department Supervisor or the 1st or 2nd Shift Supervisor (when applicable).

Case Sealer:

Locates, sets up, seals, labels, stacks and bands or wraps corrugated cases of product onto a specified shipping pallet according to customer specificationsLocates the correct corrugated case and shipping pallet according to the customer specifications listed on the job jacket, sets up and seals the corrugated case, and stacks and labels the corrugated cases according to customer specifications (located on the job jacket), and binds or wraps and labels the skids for inventory or shipmentResponsible for following quality control procedures, safety procedures, and all other SOPs (standard operating procedures) established by Prystup Packaging Products, Inc.

Cutting Department Assistant Technician:

Assists the Cutting Department Technician in the make-ready, operation, and cleaning of the die-cutting machine.May be required to operate an aerator before placing sheets into the feeding mechanism of the die-cutting machine.Assists the Cutting Department Technician to locate the correct printed sheets and the correct job jacket containing a signed customer sample for size, style, color, and copy okay for the job scheduled to cut and perform an additional check for correct copy, etc.Assists The Cutting Department Technician to verify that product manufactured on the assigned shift is in compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.

Printing Department Feeder Operator:

Restacks sheets of paperboard and operates the feed mechanism of the printing press under the direction of the Printing Department Technician.May be required to operate an aerator before re-stacking paperboard on a press pallet.Responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the press under the direction of the Printing Department Technician according to the SOPs (standard operating procedures) established by Prystup Packaging Products, Inc.Assists the Printing Department Technician to locate the job jacket for the production run and verify the presence of a signed customer okay for size, style, color, and copy as well as the sheeted product for printing.

Baler:

Run baler machine to compress and bind cardboard.Maintain the work area, keep equipment in a clean and orderly condition, and follow prescribed safety regulations.Break down cardboard for recycling.This position will always train on 7-3 shift for at least 2 weeks.
