Learn more**here** **Responsibilities** The position involves a variety of tasks such as offering enrollment to patients, coordinating with other team members and the HCI Biorepository, supporting research interest needs of investigators, entering data, and other research related tasks. The coordinator works under the direction of the Total Cancer Care Sr. Research Manager. The coordinator may support various projects, attends meeting with both the Disease Center and Total Cancer Care teams as directed, consults with the Total Cancer Care team on project/study issues and/or solicits guidance as necessary. S/he/they may be cross-trained in processes related to other Disease Centers to provide team coverage when needed. S/he/they works independently with health care providers and patients. **Essential Functions** 1. Coordinates and performs responsibilities such as patient identification, recruitment, obtaining informed consent, and other patient communications in multiple clinics at HCI . May need to be present to meet with scheduled patients as early as 6:00 am as needed. 2. Offer questionnaires to enrolled study participants regularly at the time of consent or via follow-up contact. 3. Maintains information in patient databases and may be responsible for data entry. 4. Recognizes and informs study team of protocol deviations and participates in documentation of deviations. 5. Assists the Total Cancer Care Managers with research and team related tasks. 6. Works closely with the HCI Biorepository and Molecular Pathology Shared Resource ( BMP ) and investigators and ensures proper collection and processing of specimens. 7. Is responsible to arrange coverage when not present. 8. Performs other responsibilities as required. **Problem Solving** S/he/they prioritizes and helps optimize processes needed to achieve study goals. S/he/they functions independently under minimal supervision. Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead. **Minimum Qualifications** Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. IRB CITI Course in the Protection of Human Research subjects certificate obtained within six months of hire and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required. **This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
