What you'll do:

The Preferred & Small Business Banking Analyst Operational Risk & Reporting will play a critical role in driving data-driven decision-making across the Preferred & Small Business Banking organization. This position will be responsible for designing, building, and managing reporting and dashboards utilized for reporting and analytics solutions, by creating dashboards and visuals that retrieve, manipulate, build and/or modify database tables. Additionally, this position will be responsible for optimizing database performance, testing/troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with other team members to create and execute new features and visuals.Development:Designing, developing, and maintaining reporting dashboardsWriting query procedures and functions for data retrieval and manipulationOptimizing database performance and ensuring data integrityTroubleshooting and resolving database / dashboard-related issuesCollaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutionsCreating and maintaining dashboard documentationImplementing and maintaining dashboard security measuresDevelop high-quality dashboard solutionsAnalyze existing data tables for performance improvementsDevelop procedures for maintaining a constant refresh of tables and data migration

Reporting and Dashboard Development:

Collaborate on the design, build, and maintenance of advanced dashboards and reporting tools to monitor key business performance metricsDevelop automation techniques from available technology to produce efficient and effective processesIdentify opportunities for automating manual reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy

​Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work closely with business units to understand reporting and analytical needsTranslate business questions into analytical tasks and provide solutions that drive strategic decisionsConstantly capture business needs and define how to tell the story to help drive the business

Data Integrity and Governance:

Design and implement validity checks to ensure data accuracy and reliability by performing thorough validation and quality checksMaintain and uphold data and reporting standards, ensuring consistency and compliance across all projects worked onCollaborate with IT teams to enhance data infrastructure and improve data accessibilityMay help train other junior members of the team.

What you'll need:

1+ years of related experience in Data Analytics & Data Management or similar field.Bachelor's degree in related field required.Entry level knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.Entry level knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.Entry level to intermediate experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).Entry level to intermediate experience presenting findings from large datasets in a clear, actionable way.Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
