What You’ll Do
As a Process Safety Management (PSM) and Regulatory Technician, you will be responsible for process safety efforts across the Carthage, Missouri facility. You will interface with the appropriate Health and Safety and manufacturing resources to resolve implement or delegate process safety requirements. Other duties include:
Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives and regulations; Live and foster the IPL Corporate Values; Supports business initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility; Ensuring facility compliance with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA Risk Management Plan (RMP) rules; Facilitating of Process Hazard Analysis and Layers of Protection Analysis studies Owning and auditing various existing process safety programs such as Management of Change (MOC) program site wide; Driving process safety corrective actions to closure; Setting and tracking goals and measures for PSM program improvement; Developing and implementing the proper strategy (advocacy) effort to achieve desired results; Coordinating process safety training at the site; Performing site PSM self-audits; Interpreting, communicating and facilitating timely and cost-effective implementation of new process requirements at the site; Assisting with implementation of site safety and health programsWhat We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Process Safety Certification required (CCPSC) 5+ years demonstrated safety skills in a PSM covered industrial/manufacturing environment Experience with OSHA law compliance Good working knowledge of the Quality Assurance program and safety processes through previous assignments. Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives. Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
