Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrician 2nd Class with experience in shipyard and marine electrical systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the installation, connection, and operational testing of shipboard electrical systems and components, including electrical power and lighting systems, sound-powered phones, and electric heat and ventilation equipment.
ResponsibilitiesFamiliarize with the EPISM and adhere to its requirements.Understand and practice ISO9001-2008 standards.Follow the procedures of Work Packages.Accomplish both Standard Item 009-16 and 009-36 without supervision.Perform electrical tests with proper technical documentation.Read and interpret government drawings.Complete job assignments with all necessary documentation and report information.Keep team members productive in the absence of a supervisor.Identify and minimize unnecessary costs.Have knowledge of Work Authorization Forms (WAFs).Distinguish color code phasing (orange, brown, yellow, black, white, and more).Essential SkillsFamiliarity with EPISM requirements.Understanding of ISO9001-2008 standards.Ability to follow Work Package procedures.Competency in completing Standard Item 009-16 and 009-36 independently.Proficiency in performing electrical tests with technical documentation.Skill in reading and interpreting government drawings.Capability to manage job assignments and report information.Leadership skills to keep team productive without supervision.Ability to identify and minimize unnecessary costs.Knowledge of WAFs.Ability to distinguish color code phasing.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with shipyard and marine electrical systems.Proficiency in using voltmeters and ohmmeters.Experience with cables, wiring, and troubleshooting.Ability to install, connect, and test shipboard electrical systems and components.Why Work Here?

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.
