**Job Title: PSNS-Shop 99 General Maintenance** **Job Description** We are seeking a General Maintenance Worker for PSNS-Shop 99. This role involves a variety of tasks including sweeping, debris removal, manually removing paint from fasteners or structures, moving and transporting furniture, equipment, and materials, and handling temporary air hoses, electrical cables, and flexible ventilation. Additionally, the job entails loading and unloading food stores and palletized materials from ship to shore and vice versa. **Responsibilities** + Hold objects for skilled trade craftsmen (e.g., assisting in positioning pipe, structural members, and equipment). + Supply skilled trade craftsmen with tools and materials. + Install fastening hardware (e.g., nuts, bolts, washers, etc.). + Operate hand tools (e.g., wrenches to join or fasten equipment and/or materials) to perform simple tasks of a trade. + Assist in operating pumping systems for dry dock cleaning or bilge pumping support (non-hazardous). + Clean interior tanks, bilges, or voids (non-hazardous). **Essential Skills** + Experience with hand tools. + Experience with power tools. + Ability to obtain a Secret Security clearance. + General labor experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Interim Secret clearance (Yellow Badge) or ability to obtain one within 3-4 weeks. + Experience as a Trades Assistant or in Trade Support. **Why Work Here?** This position offers the opportunity to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
