We at Fairview Health Services is looking for a dedicated Psychiatric Associate to join the hardworking team at the Outpatient Program located in Maplewood! The starting base rate of pay for the position is $21.00 .Candidates with experience may be brought in at a higher rate of pay. The shift differential for the evening shift is $2.00 All evening shifts (2:00pm-10:30pm) Week 1: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday This role is approved for 64 hours every two weeks, working Evening Shift, working every other weekend and is benefit eligible. Some of the benefits we offer at Fairview include medical insurance - as low as $0, dental insurance - also a $0 option, PTO ), and 403B with up to a 6% employer match; check out the benefit link here:https://www.fairview.org/benefits/noncontract Responsibilities Job Description The Psych Associate is responsible for the delivery of patient care, and promotion of a therapeutic environment as delegated by and under the supervision of the RN so that the goals and objectives of treatment are achieved on each unit as assigned. Maintains safety of patient and staff by conducting the following as assigned: Conducts safety checks of patients through visual observation and documentation. Conducts room, belonging and unit searches. Responds and participates in de-escalation of patient including physical intervention as trained. Actively participates in milieu management with treatment teamwork. Performs basic patient daily living routines and procedures according to treatment plan: Demonstrates knowledge of signs/symptoms of diagnoses and interventions. Conducts educational programming with individual and/or patient groups according to appropriate treatment plan. Responds to emergency situations as trained per policy. Participates in the treatment team’s mission, goals and plans: Acts as a member of the multi-disciplinary therapeutic team. Exhibits verbal communication in a timely, detailed, and professional manner. Possesses knowledge of current issues, changes and updates in Behavioral Services policies and procedures. Qualifications Required Education Bachelor’s Degree BLS First aid certification required through the American Heart Association if assigned to work on a chemical dependency unit. Preffered Bachelor’s in Human Services Field Experience working with emotionally disturbed persons.
