Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation. The Division of Child and Family Services is recruiting for a Psychiatric Caseworker 1 underfilling a Psychiatric Caseworker 2 to work with the Child & Adolescent Mobile Crisis Response Team. The Mobile Crisis Response Team receives, and triages calls from families and community partners, responds in teams to families with children experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Responses can take place in emergency departments, schools, homes, and other community settings. Psychiatric Caseworkers are responsible for completing a targeted case management assessment, providing support, immediate assistance, and create plans jointly with the mental health therapist, youth, and family to ensure the safety of the youth and to maintain them in their homes, schools, and communities when able. Psychiatric Caseworkers provide case management services to children and adolescents in crisis in an outpatient clinic or community setting. Teams can remain in place for up to 45 days to provide clinical and case management services to families. Special Requirements Working evenings, weekends, and/or holidays is required and is a condition of continuing employment. A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
