Requirements: Master’s degree in Social Work is required. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure. Experience performing mental health and substance abuse evaluations is required. Knowledge of DSM-IV-TR is required along with a working knowledge of hospital admission/continued stay criteria. Must be able to work independently yet also work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
• Perform assessments of patients referred by the Emergency Dept. and patients admitted directly to the units upon transfer from other facilities or medical floors.
• Provide appropriate and timely clinical services to patients in crisis.
• Facilitate disposition of patients.
• Document all interventions.
• Accurately fill out Legal Admission forms.
• Complete mandatory education and participate in other relevant training.
• Handles after hours emergency calls to the mental health outpatient system.
• Performs other duties as assigned as a member of the mental health crisis team.

Salary Range: $23.40-33.93 /hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
