Psychiatric LVN

We are looking for a Psychiatric LVN for a residential, all-male detox unit in San Francisco. The position requires working from 2 PM to 10:30 PM, with weekends mandatory and the other three days flexible. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in a psychiatric setting and be interested in a long-term role.
About Us: Our male-identifying program offers 100 beds for up to 90 days of residential treatment for Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Clients receive comprehensive support from a dedicated team of SUD and behavioral health professionals, including counseling, life skills education, and therapy.
Role: Health & Wellness Licensed Vocational Nurse
+ Integral part of an interdisciplinary team.
+ Supports clients with evidence-based treatment plans.
+ Aims to help clients transition into the community with sustainable recovery skills.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead the Health and Wellness team in collaboration with the Addiction Medicine team.
+ Support Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT) for Opiate Use Disorder (OUD) and other SUDs.
+ Educate clients on medication adherence and strategies.
+ Coordinate care with various healthcare teams.
+ Utilize Nursing Process, Harm Reduction, and Trauma-Informed Care.
What You’ll Do:
+ Collaborate with Health and Wellness staff.
+ Monitor and manage patient medication use.
+ Support MAT through counseling and injectable medication administration.
+ Provide client care education and counseling.
+ Coordinate complex care for clients accessing internal and external healthcare services.
+ Function within the scope of California LVN licensure.

Minimum Requirements:
+ Current LPN license in state of assignment
+ 1 year experience in a psychiatric care setting preferred
+ Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
+ Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
+ Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required
+ Computer proficiency required
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
