Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (or Psychiatrist)

Job Overview:
The psychiatric nurse practitioner performs psychiatric evaluations and provides ongoing medication management.
Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Determine a diagnosis, develop a treatment plan and measure progress against the plan, making adjustments as needed
Monitor patients to determine efficacy and potential side effects of medications
Order and interpret laboratory tests
Consult with patients’ primary care physicians to coordinate care
Partner with other members of the care team (e.g., nurse, medical assistant, social worker)
Complete all EHR documentation and administrative tasks in an accurate and timely manner
Minimum Qualification Requirements including education, experience, licensure/certification, etc. and essential physical capabilities (e.g. lifting, assisting lifting, standing, etc.)
Master’s degree in nursing, or Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, with a psychiatric nurse practitioner specialization
Current national board certification
Valid DEA registration and current New York licensure as an advanced practice nurse
BLS certification
Active Medicare and NYS Medicaid registration
Minimum of 3,600 hours of clinical experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner
Preferred Qualification Requirements (desired requirements beyond MQRs above)
3+ years of experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner
Active Medicare and NYS Medicaid registration
Familiarity with the NextGen EHR
Experience with the I/DD patient population
Compensation:
$110.00-125.00/hr.
