Matrix Providers is hiring a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families at the Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, FL.

Overview: The Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program (SARP) of the Naval Hospital Jacksonville provides screening, preventive, and dual diagnosis rehabilitative services for substance use disorders. Location: Naval Hospital - Jacksonville Employment Status: Full Time Compensation: $60-$65/Hour Schedule: Monday - Friday (Some Saturdays may be scheduled) Benefits: Competitive financial package with a comprehensive insurance package including health, dental, vision, and life coverage. SARP Summary: The SARP program is an abstinence based cognitive-behavioral program, which emphasizes skills-learning and psychosocial techniques for addiction rehabilitation. The program relies heavily upon group treatment techniques. Outside support groups such as AA, NA, Celebrate Recovery and SMART recovery are an adjunctive part of treatment and secondary to the core program. This program serves active duty military, veterans, and their adult dependents with an emphasis on patient acceptance of their inherent capability and desire to change in the least restrictive environment consistent with their goals of treatment.

Qualifications:

Degree: Master’s degree in nursing Education: Graduated from an accredited program in the nursing specialty field (recognized by ACEN or CCNE) Certifications: BLS (Healthcare Providers), ACLS, and PALS Experience: As required to meet clinical competency for SARP Program. Licensure: Active DEA certification for controlled substances in the state of licensure

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nurse practitioner services, including screenings, routine and acute care, immunizations, and counseling Mentor and teach staff, offer evidence-based educational sessions, and participate in in-service training Diagnose and treat patients for common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma within established protocols and guidelines Promote preventive care and health maintenance, including annual exams and counseling on healthy behaviors Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to benefit patient care and organizational goals Ensure universal precautions and isolation protocols as needed in patient interactions Attend staff meetings for case discussions, continuing education, and quality improvement
