Summary:
The Psychiatric Technician provides therapeutic care for people with mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual disorders. The Psychiatric Technician functions within the multidisciplinary treatment team under the supervision of professional staff. Psychiatric Technicians assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal care, and aid in recovery with a focus on social, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
Responsibilities:
Monitors patients' physical and emotional well-being and reports changes in behavior or physical ailments to professional staff.Responds to patient needs taking into consideration developmental stage and psychiatric symptomsTakes a mindful and thoughtful approach to all patient interactions, maintains appropriate boundaries.Functions within the patient care team focusing on successful treatment and stabilizationMaintains a safe environment complying with Northern Light Health policies and procedures; reports and directly addresses environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observedMay perform other duties upon request.Other Information:
