Description
Performs and documents psychiatric evaluations and medication management for clients across the continuum of care (Detox, Residential, Outpatient), under established referral procedures;
Completes and documents mental status examinations, and safety assessments, and assesses client’s appropriateness for level of care;
Participates and provides input/leadership in clinical team meetings for Detox, Residential, and Outpatient services, and practices as a member of these multi-disciplinary team(s);
Gains understanding of Detox protocols and collaborates with Detox Nursing Staff to determine/order detox protocol medications and adjust taper protocols;
Provides Medication Assisted Treatments to assigned clients at all levels of care;
Supports Medication Assisted Treatment initiatives and participates in the expansion of other evidence-based treatments;
Completes MAT-Buprenorphine Consultations to determine client appropriateness for Suboxone ™ / Sublocade ™ in collaboration with the Assistant Medical Director
Additional Skills & Qualifications
MD Degree
Has completed US accredited residency program in psychiatry
Has completed accredited Addiction Psychiatry fellowship
Board Certified in Psychiatry
Board Certified in Addiction Medicine and/or Addiction Psychiatry
Minimum of two (2) years of experience practicing as a psychiatric practitioner in a clinical setting preferred
Maintains current CT license and DEA license/registration
Experienced in addiction and co-occurring disorders
Certified to prescribe Buprenorphine
Maintains a current CPR certification
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $290000.00 - $325000.00
