Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatrist to perform and document psychiatric evaluations and medication management for clients across the continuum of care, including Detox, Residential, and Outpatient services. The ideal candidate will complete and document mental status examinations, safety assessments, and assess clients' appropriateness for level of care. You will participate in and provide leadership in clinical team meetings and collaborate closely with Detox Nursing Staff to determine and adjust detox protocol medications. The role also involves providing Medication Assisted Treatments and supporting the expansion of evidence-based treatments.
ResponsibilitiesPerform and document psychiatric evaluations and medication management for clients across Detox, Residential, and Outpatient services.Complete and document mental status examinations and safety assessments.Assess clients' appropriateness for level of care.Participate and provide input/leadership in clinical team meetings for Detox, Residential, and Outpatient services.Gain understanding of Detox protocols and collaborate with Detox Nursing Staff to determine and order detox protocol medications.Adjust taper protocols as needed.Provide Medication Assisted Treatments to assigned clients at all levels of care.Support Medication Assisted Treatment initiatives and participate in the expansion of other evidence-based treatments.Complete MAT-Buprenorphine Consultations to determine client appropriateness for Suboxone™/Sublocade™ in collaboration with the Assistant Medical Director.Essential SkillsMental health expertiseHealth care knowledgeMD DegreeCompletion of US accredited residency program in psychiatryCompletion of accredited Addiction Psychiatry fellowshipBoard Certification in PsychiatryBoard Certification in Addiction Medicine and/or Addiction PsychiatryMinimum of two (2) years of experience practicing as a psychiatric practitioner in a clinical setting preferredCurrent CT license and DEA license/registrationExperience in addiction and co-occurring disordersCertified to prescribeCurrent CPR certificationAdditional Skills & QualificationsStrong leadership abilitiesExcellent communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teamsCommitment to evidence-based treatment approachesWork Environment
You will work within a collaborative and multidisciplinary team environment, participating in Detox, Residential, and Outpatient services. The position requires close collaboration with Detox Nursing Staff and the Assistant Medical Director. The role involves a mix of direct client care and participation in clinical team meetings. The work setting supports the expansion of evidence-based treatments and Medication Assisted Treatment initiatives. The dress code is professional attire suitable for a clinical setting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $290000.00 - $325000.00
