Overview Evaluates patients with psychological/psychiatric illnesses, diagnosis problems, and organizes and implements an effective treatment plan. Maintains clinical charts, composes and submits reports, and coordinates mental health and substance abuse treatments. Qualifications EDUCATION REQUIREMENT Doctoral degree as a Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO); no substitutions.Must have successfully completed psychiatric residency before date of hire. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT None required. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. Must possess and maintain a current license to practice medicine in the State of Oklahoma and a current unrestricted DEA number to prescribe scheduled medicine. Must possess and maintain certification and training for any assessment that requires it to be administered and interpreted. Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification if required by department. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES None required. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
