Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Psychiatrist to the Behavioral Health group at NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx. NCB is a 457-bed community hospital providing quality care in a friendly and setting. This facility provides a range of services, and is known for its outstanding Behavioral Health, Women’s Health, Primary Care, Pediatric, Geriatric and Specialty Ambulatory services. The department of Psychiatry has 3 Adult Inpatient Units, a satellite CPEP, a Psychiatry Consultation Liaison service, a Partial Hospital Program, an Outpatient Department, and an ACT team.

The attending will have overall responsibility and work with a experienced multidisciplinary clinical staff to provide hands-on direct clinical assessment, diagnosis, acute stabilization and management, crisis intervention and care, and appropriate disposition for a cohort of geriatric inpatients The attending will have responsibility for clinical and educational activities on a 23-bed acute Geriatric/adult inpatient unit, including participation in a multidisciplinary treatment team Direct supervision of Psychologists, Social Workers, Psychiatric PA staff and Medical Students Participation in all activities related to clinical care and documentation of care, performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and student supervision, education & training Participate in our innovative integrative care activities Visa sponsorship will be considered for this position
