Psychologist Job Details Job Location Caguas - Kennedy 139 A Jose Mercado - Caguas, PR Education Level Graduate Degree Salary Range $30.00 - $30.00 Hourly Job Category Nonprofit - Social Services Description Position Summary: Responsible for ensuring that clients receive the individual range of medical care and other comprehensive services necessary to optimize each client's substance use, mental health, and health outcomes. Essential Job Functions: + Offer psychological interventions and mental health or substance abuse diagnoses + Coordinate with public and private agencies the services necessary for the well-being of the participant. + Participate in case discussions. + It will guide and intervene with relatives and collateral of the participant. + It will provide training to participants when necessary and their intervention is required. + Make reports and statistics. + He will visit the penal institutions. + Attend, evaluate, and provide treatment and follow-up to the participants in their different degrees. + It is responsible for developing and completing a social file of each case. + Performs a psychosocial and intervention history by producing performance reports. + Plan and execute therapy programs, to help people more effectively in personal, social, educational and professional achievement. + It is responsible for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of all types of behavioral disorders that a person may present. + Identifies and evaluates psychosocial factors that affect the well-being of clients during their rehabilitation process. + It evaluates people with mental disabilities, including drugs, alcohol, the sick, and those with social problems. + It selects and interprets psychological tests aimed at assessing the individual's intelligence, aptitudes, abilities and interests, to determine the causes of people's problem in terms of their mental capacity to live independently in permanent housing. + Conduct counseling or therapy to assist individual interviews to learn about personal problems, define goals, and make an action plan that reflects the interests, skills, and needs of each participant individually. + Determines the advisability of advice or referrals to other specialists or institutions. + It is responsible for the study, planning and prevention in risk groups. + It offers crisis interventions, evaluates and recommends on other possible needs . + Other assignments requested by Supervisor. Qualifications Certifications/Licenses: + Current license of the PR Psychologists Examination Board Education: Doctorate in Psychology, Current license of the Examining Board of Psychologists of PR. Bilingual. Certification in addiction counseling or addiction management, Have 3-5 years of experience preferably with the population. Experience in administering psychological tests (intelligence, personality, vocational etc. Experience in crisis intervention and participating in the management of psychiatric emergencies. Ability to understand and address the needs of clients with co-occurring disorders. Familiarity with community health and other resources.
