SUMMARY

Provide mental health treatment at the lowest level of intervention while allowing the patient the highest quality of life.

STATUS: Part Time (24 hours/week)

LOCATION: Hybrid(Onsite and Remote Reidman Health Center

DEPARTMENT: Psychology

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday

ATTRIBUTES

Doctoral degree in one of the following areas of Psychology:  Clinical, School, or Counseling PsychologyStrong analytical, computer, and communication skillsNYS licensed Psychologist or eligiblePhD/PsyD required education

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assessment and screening for neurodevelopmental disorders (ADHD, autism, and related difficulties) in children ages 4 - 17 years.Demonstrates competence in the administration and interpretation of assessment questionnaires from parents and teachers (e.g., BASC, Vineland, SCQ).Experience with Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-Second Edition (ADOS-2) preferred but not required.Demonstrates knowledge and skill in providing cognitive-behavioral therapy and behavioral therapy for children and their parents, with emphasis on behavioral parent training.Formulates a comprehensive treatment plan to identify and address challenging behavior and support development of social-emotional skills.Establishes a therapeutic alliance with child and parent.Collaborates and communicates with multidisciplinary team as appropriate.Documents all treatment contacts accurately and in accordance with program policy.Perform other duties as assigned.

LP - Licensed Psychologist - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
