Description
The Department of Psychiatry is seeking to hire a part-time Psychologist II to join the UCLA Stress, Trauma, and Resilience (STAR) Clinic. The STAR Clinic provides specialized psychotherapeutic interventions to families with young children focusing on improving family cohesion, position parenting practices and developmentally-appropriate behavior management techniques. You will function as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team. Primary duties include:
+ Administer and interpret psychological tests used for diagnosing mental and personality disorders
+ Make psychodiagnostics appraisals
+ Formulate treatment plans and utilize therapeutic techniques
+ Provide short-term outpatient psychotherapy in clinic or via tele-health platforms
+ Organize, structure, and conduct group therapy sessions
+ Developing training curricula related to trauma & resilience informed practices for providers in LA County
+ Facilitate trainings on an array of topics including the impact of trauma on development, parent-child interactions, and promoting resilience
+ Provide training and supervision to practicum trainees, pre-doc interns and postdoc fellows
+ Training clinic staff
Please note: this is a 6 month limited appointment that may convert to career.
Salary range: $60.11/hr - $79.30/hrQualifications
PhD or PsyD in Clinical PsychologyValid CA Psychology LicenseMinimum 2 years of post-doc experience in clinical psychologyPrior clinical experience in parent-child, dyadic, and family interventionsPrior clinical experience in evidence-based individual psychotherapeutic interventionsPrior experience working with families and chronic stressors, traumatic experiences, and/or conflictsPrior experience in training and supervising trainees with mental health degreesExcellent oral and written skills, including the ability to write and edit manuscriptsAbility to supervise trainees with mental health degrees
