In this staff Psychologist role, you will primarily focus on conducting psychological testing and providing care for individuals under involuntary commitment. State Hospital South in Blackfoot provides psychiatric inpatient treatment and skilled nursing care for Idaho’s adult citizens with the most serious and persistent mental illnesses. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. It is highly recommended to attach a one-page cover letter to your application to demonstrate how you meet the requirements below. + Licensure as a psychologist in Idaho in accordance with Idaho Code 54-2307 OR completion of a doctoral degree in psychology from an APA accredited program within six months of hire, AND agreement to obtain licensure per Idaho Code 54-2307 within 24 months of hire. + Experience providing direct clinical services. Typically gained by at least two years of experience providing direct clinical services including conducting assessments, psychological testing, therapeutic intervention, diagnosis, counseling and developing treatment plans for clients/patients in a hospital or community-based setting. In your response, please describe the clinical areas in which the direct services were provided, such as psychological evaluations or psychotherapy, clients involved, and the dates services were provided. Below is preferred experience. It is not required for the position but applicants with this experience may receive consideration over other applicants. Below experience t ypically gained from 1-4 years of practicing in a clinical setting. + Experience with seriously mentally ill populations is preferred. + Experience supervising clinical services. + Some experience with forensic assessment. + Experience with a variety of psychological testing measures including, but not limited to: personality, cognitive, intelligence, neurodevelopmental, and validity assessments.
