**Employment Type:** Part time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** Administers and scores psychological tests used to assess psychological and neuropsychological disorders. **POSITION PURPOSE** Administers and scores psychological tests used to assess psychological and neuropsychological disorders. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Administers and score prescribed psychological and neuropsychological tests to referred patients in a standardized manner, to ensure accuracy and reliability of results and continuity across patients. Observes patient behavior during neuropsychological evaluation, records findings on patient performance and prepares written summaries describing behaviors characteristics relevant to diagnosis. Ensures timely generation and submission of accurate post-test reports for use by the Psychologist in making diagnosis and treatment recommendations. Maintains confidentiality and security of administered tests and test results, in accordance with defined standards of ethical practice. Adapts test and /or testing situation to individual patients based on independent assessments of patient's needs or condition. Communicates with patient and their families in order to prepare patients for testing, to explain test procedures and purpose (s), and to ensure patient comfort with the testing process. Maintains level of competence and expertise in new or improved testing techniques, instruments and methodologies, through continuing education programs and attendance at conferences/ seminars. Assists with collection and collation of research data as assigned. Maintains patient records and inventory of test materials Provides quality patient care considering age specific developmental and cultural needs through competent practice and application of the physical rehabilitation process. **OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES** _Performs other duties as assigned._ **REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE** Education: Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters Degree preferred. Experience: More than six months on the job training or previous experience. **REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES** + Knowledge of normal and abnormal human behaviors, psychological theories, psychometric testing and statistics. + Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with learning impaired patients, their families, schools and community agency representatives when gathering patient's data, explaining testing procedures and allaying fears. + Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to details for up to eighty percent of work time when administering and scoring psychometric tests. + Ability to walk and stand up to ten percent of work time when walking to patient floors to obtain histories. **Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion** Trinity Health is one of the largest not-for-profit, Catholic healthcare systems in the nation.
