Job Details:

Purpose

This position will administer and score assessments that can include both neurocognitive and structured clinical interviews for DSM-5 to assist in determining cognitive and psychiatric diagnosis of clinical patients with known or suspected conditions.

Responsibilities

Administer and score prescribed psychological testing, including cognitive, academic, neuropsychological, behavioral, personality, and emotional testing. Familiarity with the SCID-5, M.I.N.I.-v7, or equivalent.

Conduct interviews and observe behaviors for selection and evaluation purposes. Provide age appropriate assessments and interventions in order to meet the needs of patients and families served.

Perform normative data/scoring and report writing for clinical patients. Observe, manage, and document patient's behavior and condition throughout the testing process.

Enter testing/patient conditions and test results into patient records. Write evaluation reports under supervision of a faculty. Employ alternate or modified assessment instruments and/or strategies as necessary.

Communicate results to patient's healthcare team. Actively participate in clinical assessments with staff and faculty on the team. Assist in program development when requested and participate in clinical research as needed.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field required. A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in mental health, clinical assessment, or other relevant experience in a healthcare setting. Adequate computer skills needed to enter test scores into database. Demonstrated ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary care planning team.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual in English and Spanish. Knowledge of basic counseling skills is preferred for eliciting cooperation and ability to adapt to change in evaluating subjects of differing levels of ability during complex testing modalities. Training in standard psychological/neuropsychological test administration.  Possession of an active national certification in psychometry. Confident self-starter. Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Salary Range

$45,000+ depending on qualifications
