  Under the direction of the Psychiatric Social Work Manager and within an interdisciplinary team, the Psychotherapist provides professional counseling services for the adult psychiatric and geriatric psychiatric inpatients at both the Desert Vista and the Behavioral Health Annex facilities.   Hourly Pay Rate: $34.15 - $50.37   Qualifications Education:  Requires a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy.   Experience:  Must have a minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience providing mental health psychotherapy in an inpatient behavioral health setting that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.   Specialized Training:  Prefer specialized training in chemical dependency assessment and treatment.   Certification/Licensure:  Must be independently licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners by holding one of the following certifications: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)   Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:   Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English, including professional level usage of grammar, spelling and punctuation. Requires knowledge of chemical dependency and mental health, and ability to facilitate group-counseling sessions with a dually diagnosed population.   Pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code R9-10-306 CHAPTER 10 of the Dept. of Health Services, personnel must be at least 21 years of age, or at least 18 years of age and licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32, and providing services within the personnel member’s scope of practice.
