A Fitness Instructor takes part in servicing our guests around our beautiful Resort. This task is to be handled in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in an extremely high level of guest satisfaction. The Fitness Instructor is responsible for writing and creating exercise programs, supervise and instruct clients in meeting their fitness goals. Specific training and certifications in Muscle Activation Training preferred to provide specialized training for members and guests, including consultations and continued wellness plans. Work with management to create and implement marketing directives to enhance training programs. And expected to direct all service efforts towards guest satisfaction, the achievement/maintenance of company standards and profit maximization.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to perform all fitness instructor’s essential functions. Must have excellent knowledge of human anatomy, exercise physiology, nutrition, resistance training, theory, proper form, and technique. Must be able to reach, bend, and stoop for long periods of time. Must be able to make quick, accurate decisions. Must have excellent communication skills. Must be able to supervise effectively. Must possess good knowledge of both mechanical and functional capabilities of fitness equipment.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to effectively deal with both internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse and collect accurate information and resolve conflicts. Ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Crescent. Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
