10.Other duties as assigned. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1. Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, licensed vocational nurse, or registered nurse with two years of experience in the field.
2. Ability to read and interpret regulations and policies that impact the healthcare programs.
3. Ability to communicate in a professional manner with high-level medical staff, instructors, students, and other stakeholders.
4. Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office programs, including but not limited to Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
5. Ability to follow and abide by Blinn College District policies and procedures. Preferred Experience and Training 1. Five or more years in a related healthcare occupation, such as licensed vocational nursing, registered nurse, certified clinical medical assistant, or medical doctor.
2. Three or more years in a nursing home or assisted living facility.
3. Two or more years working with the Texas Health and Human Services on licensing and accreditation.
4. Two or more years developing relationships with local clinics and hospitals to develop clinical sites for students. Physical Requirements Required Degree, License or Certifications 1. Holds current license in the medical field of practice

No Work Hours Position Summary Information Objective The healthcare instructor will provide the experience and knowledge to teach dual credit CCMA healthcare courses, as well as assist in the administration of healthcare programs under the Applied Technology, Workforce, and Economic Development Division.
