Position Title PT Instructor EMT Paramedic Laboratory/Clinical Assistant

Salary $21.00
Hours Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week - not to exceed 19.5 hours per week
Summary of Position
To communicate with and work under the direction of the program director/coordinator. To provide necessary instruction to EMT and Paramedic students for successful completion of the lab/clinical portion of the course for certification in Texas and NREMT .
Minimum Required Education
• An Associate Degree in Applied Science, Paramedic Technology/or a related field is preferred.
• Current Certification as a Paramedic in Texas and/or NREMT -P certification with privileges to practice in Texas and current EMS Instructor certification within 12 months in Texas is preferred, must be able to obtain in one year of hire.
Minimum Required Experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an EMS required
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Knowledge of Paramedic/ EMT DOT Curriculum necessary for certification in Texas and NREMT .
• Knowledge of educational principles.
• Knowledge of state and national regulatory agency requirements. • Guide and evaluate students in the lab and clinical area.
• Ability to communicate with students, agency personnel, and college personnel.
• Flexible, dependable-able to work with students enrolled in the Emergency Medical Technology Program.
• Demonstrate competence in all areas of EMT and Paramedic pre-hospital care.
• Function as a member of the Emergency Medical Technology team, led by a program director/coordinator.
• Capable through academic preparation, training and experience to teach with courses or topics to which assigned.
