Objective Provide instruction in multiple topics of manufacturing and machining skills to include, but not limited to safety, hand tools, power equipment, shop math and measuring, blueprint reading, basic and advanced machine tool technology, manufacturing processes, metallurgy, machine maintenance and quality inspection technique.

Essential Duties 1. Teach courses as scheduled.
2. Prepares course syllabi for each course.
3. Keeps current on developments regarding instructional methodology.
4. Develop, grade, administer and facilitate quizzes, exams or other tools used to evaluate student progress.
5. Require all students to follow lab safety protocols at all times
6. Manage classroom activities by enforcing standards, rules and regulations.
7. Makes recommendations to the Program Manager regarding curriculum additions, deletions, or revisions.
8. Provides a complete/noncomplete evaluation on each student’s performance as required by the college.
9. Provide feedback to the Program Manager on course progress, suggested improvements or problems that may impact program quality or stability.
10. Assist all trades in tool, equipment, and consumable inventories
11. Teach approved curriculum from the National Center for Constriction Education and Research (NCCER)
12. Maintain office hours as set by the College.
13. Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Associates degree
Post High School Education
Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in industry.
Proficient in multiple aspects of shop safety, machine tool technologies and industry standards.Proficient in multiple CNC machinist operations and technology
Knowledge of adult learning methodologies.
Demonstrated proficiency in English. Preferred Experience and Training 5 years or more demonstrated experience as a machinist.
Associates Degree or higher
College / Vocational teaching experience
Bi-lingual (English / Spanish)
Knowledge and experience with teaching adults.
