Position OverviewThe Produce Clerk is responsible for receiving, processing, preparing, wrapping, slicing, weighing, marking, and packaging product, as well as stocking shelves, maintaining a clean department, and providing attentive and friendly customer service.

Description

Process, prepare and package produce in accordance with company policies and all Federal, State, and Local regulationsPerform necessary rotation of products to ensure the freshest produce available for the customersMaintain shelves and cases properly by stocking, cleaning, straightening, and wateringEnsure proper cooler, preparation area, and sales floor conditionsMaintain adequate produce supplyFulfill customer orders for items such as fruit platters and basketsTravel Required:No

Store : Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)

Skills

Specialized Knowledge : Knowledge of produce items preferred.Special Skills : Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions; Possess basic computer skills; Excellent vision; Ability to provide courteous and friendly customer servicePhysical abilities: : Frequent amounts of pulling/pushing loads up to 50 lb, stooping, and hearing; Constant amounts of walking, lifting/carrying loads up to 70 lb, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, tasting, and smellingOther: : Ability to operate: Knives, Computerized Scales, Pallet Jack, Wrapping Machine, Case Cutter, Marking Gun, Baler/Compactor
