Pay Rate: $21.00- $25.00

 

Schedule: 20hrs/wk. 2 weekdays 12pm-8pm, 1 weekend day 12pm-4pm or 4pm-8pm.

*Flexible on what days of the week.

Pay Minimum USD $21.00/Hr. Pay Maximum USD $25.00/Hr. Responsibilities

Levels of care at this facility include: Medical Detox, Inpatient/Residential SUD & MH Rehab, Medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and Aftercare Planning 

 

The Therapeutic Activities Coordinator is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating approved recreation programs for patients in treatment.

 

Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the following:


CORE JOB DUTIES:

Conducts therapeutic sessions to improve patients' mental and physical well-being.Observes, assesses and records patient participation and progress during recreational sessionsPlans, organizes, and directs recreational activities to facilitate patient recovery and well-beingAssists clinical team to develop a treatment plan to meet needs recreational needs of the patient.


OTHER REQUIRED TASKS:

Prepares and submit reports and charts to treatment team to reflect patient progress.Uses information from medical records, staff and patients to assess patient capabilities and interests.Counsel and encourage patients to develop leisure activitiesEvaluate effectiveness of services provided with the assistance of the Clinical DirectorDemonstrates sufficient comprehension of the 12 Steps, SMART Recovery and Substance Use DisordersAssists the clinical team with patient interventions when neededMaintains positive relationships with all staffMaintains healthy boundaries with patients and staffAsks for and accepts feedback from supervisorsProvides a safe and therapeutic environment to all staff and patientsCommunicates significant patient developments to supervisorParticipates in Quality Improvement activities and contribute to the success of the organizationPursues professional development through participation in education and training programsContributes positively to the morale of other staff membersPerforms other tasks as assigned. Qualifications

Here is what we’ll need to consider:

Minimum high school diploma is required. Post-secondary education is preferred.Minimum of one (1) year experience.Certification in Recreation Therapy preferredCPR and Standard First Aid certification preferred.
