Levels of care at this facility include: Medical Detox, Inpatient/Residential SUD & MH Rehab, Medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and Aftercare Planning
The Therapeutic Activities Coordinator is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating approved activity programs for patients in treatment. The Therapeutic Activities Coordinator is responsible for developing engaging activities and encouraging patient participation outside of programming hours. This position will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating community-based activities for patients in PHP and IOP levels of care.
CORE JOB DUTIES:
Create engaging activities that will promote high levels of patient participation.Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure patient participation and attendance tracking.Plans, organizes, and directs activities to facilitate patient recovery and well-being which may include off-site outings.Coordinates and facilitates activities committee meeting to ensure distribution of monthly activities calendar.Ensure inventory of supplies are provided on-site.Support treatment team with patient interventions and de-escalation as needed.

Minimum high school diploma is required. Post-secondary education is preferred.Minimum of one (1) year experience.Good driving record that meets safety and company insurance standards.Certification in Recreation Therapy preferredCPR and Standard First Aid certification required.Core Competencies:
Conducts therapeutic sessions to improve patients' mental and physical well-being.Observes, assesses and records patient participation and progress during recreational sessionsPlans, organizes, and directs recreational activitiesRecreational treatment plan
