(Includes $1,477 in meals/housing stipends). + Location: Visalia, CA + Assignment Length : 26 weeks with possible extension + Schedule: 27 hours per week, 3x9s schedule. + Transportation : Reliable transportation required. You may be required to be at their location in Porterville occasionally. JOB DUTIES: + Establishes treatment plans with functional goals and measurable objectives based upon evaluations and clinical observations incorporating concepts of family-centered care into the plan. Provides therapy treatment as prescribed by child’s physician. + Confers and consults with other providers involved with child’s care, including but not limited to school personnel, equipment and orthotic providers, and social service workers + Adapts games, arts, and crafts as therapeutic treatment + Assists parents in understanding and handling children with chronic orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions + Teach parents/caregivers and/or child exercises, activities, and techniques that will improve strength, range of motion, balance, equilibrium, stability, and functional mobility skills. + Maintain relevant and timely documentation of treatments and services provided REQUIREMENTS: + License to practice as a physical therapist by the Physical Therapy Board of California. + Current BLS certification. + 1 year experience working with children is preferred but not required.
