Hiring Immediately PT Utility Worker for Paratransit $17.5708/hourly rate The Part-Time Utility Worker Paratransit must be able to perform basic vehicle servicing duties. They must also be able to perform detail cleaning and fueling of equipment with limited supervision. The Utility worker will be responsible for pulling the vaults and replacing them daily as the revenue units return from service. This position requires the ability to work all shift including nights and weekends. Daily fueling of all vehicles as required. Documentation of all fluid transactions in log sheet. Daily pulling and dumping of fare box vaults Daily cleaning of interior and exterior of all vehicles as required including sweeping and removal of graffiti and debris from the interior to include floors, seats, walls, ceilings, windows, etc. Removes all refuse. Operates hand and power cleaning equipment, including vacuums and scrubbers Daily check of all vehicle tires for air pressure and damage Daily check of all units brought through fuel island for body damage, proper working lights Responsible for moving or positioning a variety of equipment (Yard Permit). Clean vehicles at locations remote from the maintenance facility such as at transfer centers or relief points Responsible for basic shop and housekeeping duties. Will be responsible for completing required forms for entry into computer system. Other duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the facility. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. A valid NY State Driver's license in good standing is required.One year of previous driving experience preferredAbility to follow written and oral instructions Knowledge of shop safety standards. Must be well organized. Must be able to read and write English.Must be self-motivated and able to perform without constant or immediate supervision. Must be able to work flexible hours or shifts. Ability to work as a team.
