**Description:**
There are several areas of Pt. Registration. Currently, there are openings in ER Registration and the Women's Center. ER Registration is 12-hour shifts and the Women's Center is 8-hour shifts. Weekend availability may be required.
These are full-time positions, and eligible for benefits, which start on the first day of employment.
**What you will do** :
+ Register patients by obtaining necessary and accurate financial and demographic information.
+ Receive, investigate and respond to various inquiries and questions in a pleasant and helpful manner.
+ Determine the financial status of the patient and or guarantor and complete all financial/insurance related functions and signatures.
+ Communicate with third party payors, obtain insurance benefits and obtain insurance authorizations.
+ Collect money due from patient at admission, or in ER setting, prior to discharge.
+ Complete all necessary reports.
+ Communicate with Case Management, Patient Financial Services and Self/Pay/Medicaid eligibility Team and all other departments when appropriate.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or GED required
+ Associate's degree preferred or process of obtaining one (preferred)
+ Must possess excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
**Licensure** :
+ None required; Certified Patient Account Technician CPAT preferred
