Summary Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Public Affairs Specialist (CX/UX Analyst). Duty Location: Lakewood, Colorado and Washington, District of Columbia Responsibilities This position is located within the Office of Digital Engagement (ODE), an organizational division of Reclamation's Office of Communications (ROC). The Public Affairs Specialist serves as ODE's lead audience analyst responsible for shaping Reclamation's Digital Engagement Strategy relevant to evaluating customer experiences (CX) and user experiences (UX) across digital platforms and channels. Provide guidance to management officials concerning procedures for responding to specific requests from the media. Author a wide array of content for digital platforms, including high-profile websites, interactive newsletters, blogs, and other communication products. Publish and provides digital placement recommendations for high-quality audiovisual content, including professional-grade photos, videos, podcasts, and interactive infographics. Develop, implement, and monitor strategic plans that aim to improve the overall digital experience, ensuring services are intuitive, user-friendly experiences that address diverse needs of various audience segments, including underserved communities. Develop, author, and automate sophisticated audience analytics and user feedback mechanisms to identify trends, predict user behaviors, and recommend innovative opportunities for optimizing digital services. Oversee Working Groups that are comprised of regional content publishers to develop integrated communication strategies and campaigns. To qualify at the GS-12, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-11 level in federal service having demonstrated experience designing, planning, directing or advising on the public affairs program in an agency or organization; analyzing alternative approaches to advisie management on major aspects of the public affairs program; developing and disseminating informational materials to the general public or specialized target groups; writing analysis reports; speech writing; developing and writing web content; analyzing plans, prototypes, and measures, and consulting with management concerning policies and solutions that tie communication processes with results. Examples of specialized experience are not all inclusive. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 01/21/2025. Education This position does not allow substituting education for experience. Additional Information You may be required to serve an initial probationary period. Reclamation has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and you may be allowed to telework with supervisory approval. Related non-Federal experience or related experience as retired members of the uniformed services may be credited towards computing entitlement to leave accrual, at managerial discretion, providing that experience meets certain criteria.
