Student Assistant Specialist
The Public and Urban Policy M.S. program of the Milano School of Policy, Management, and Environment, is seeking a detailed oriented student assistant specialist to support social media, communications, outreach to alumni, the development of an internship program, and other projects as needed. The student assistant specialist will work closely with the department chair, the Director of Student Affairs, and the Communications and Events team. The position reports to the chair.

Responsibilities:
Assist in the production of social media content to promote the program. This includes participating in the production of video and other media, scheduling and conducting interviews with alumni, students, and faculty, among other tasks. Maintain social media accounts and increase their visibility. This includes posting content, interactions with other accounts, growing networks, among other tasks. Assist program Chair on developing an internship program for MPUP students. This includes identifying and contacting alumni and regional employers to generate agreements, organize events to promote the program among students, designing the guidelines of the program, among other tasks. Assist program Chair and faculty on Alumni Relations. This includes developing and implementing a communication strategy, organization of events, among other tasks.
Work Mode: Hybrid some time in-person and remotePart time Hourly Rate: $16 – $20/hr Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Strong communication skills, particularly written skills. Proficiency in social media account management and maintenance Experience producing video and other media Some experience with design Current student with at least two semesters of study remaining before graduating Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while staying flexible and organized High level of professionalism Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students Proficient in shared online platforms such as Google Suite (Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc.), and Zoom. Preferred Qualifications:
