About the location:
JOIN OUR TEAM
The Residential Public Area Supervisor is responsible for supervising all residential common areas, both interior and exterior, in addition to the administrative areas, ensuring they are clean and well stocked to the Four Seasons Residential Standards. The Public Area Supervisor is dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our residents and their guests, ensuring all amenity spaces meet the highest standards, overseeing the team of public area attendants working in the common areas and conducting detailed inspections of their work. This role will also work closely with the Director of Residences, Assistant Director of Engineering & Residences Manager ensuring the work completed by contracted overnight cleaners meets & exceeds the standards set out in their contracted scope of work.
TASKS
Inspect, clean and restock as needed all residential area washrooms, residential lobby, mail room, residential corridors, and all common areas (e.g. meeting room, theatre, lobby lounge, changing rooms, pool etc.) and heart-of-house space (inclusive of office space etc.)
Maintains appropriate stock levels for all residential amenity space operating supplies, creating Purchase Orders as needed and completing monthly, quarterly and annual inventories
Oversees the employee uniform laundry process, ensuring employees are correctly following policies & procedures and that service vendors work is completed to Four Seasons Standards, working closely with Residences Management on any challenges or concerns
Oversees the employee meal/snack program, ensuring the staff cafeteria is appropriately cleaned and maintained and that items provided for staff consumption are well stocked, ensuring an elevated employee experience
Coordinates special cleaning projects and overnight cleaning needs, working closely with Residences Management and service providers to ensure the world class standards are met throughout the residential common areas
Anticipates residents’ needs and takes ownership of concerns and requests; acts decisively to ensure satisfaction. Offers a special personalised touch when an opportunity is presented.
Is proficient in the safe handling of all relevant equipment and machinery; reports defects and accidents to management immediately. Is competent in MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) procedures and trained in accident response.
The ability to spot all furniture and keep it in its proper place
Ensures all common area cleanliness, including elevators/lifts, elevator/lift doors, windows, carpets as well as collect garbage/trash throughout the property
The ability to offer assistance to any resident in a courteous and friendly manner
Maintain all equipment and supplies and use them in a proper manner
Keep Housekeeping storage areas tidy and correctly stocked, and closed at all times when not in use. Must ensure working equipment is always clean, tidy and in good working order. To be responsible for reporting any malfunctioning equipment.
Maintain cleanliness, inventory, set-ups and spa standards in the locker rooms, pool and fitness Center and have the ability to provide proper and safe operation of the equipment in these areas
Work closely with the Facilities Manager to administer preventive maintenance procedures and to limit equipment down time by ensuring proper use and care. The ability to report equipment malfunctions promptly and accurately.
Ensure compliance of checklists by walking and ensuring all areas of locker rooms are well maintained, stocked, and cleaned to ensure high quality presentation and repair of all locker room equipment
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to enforce rules and regulation with residents
Ability to handle lost and found items in coordination with Security Manager
Ability to carry out any other cleaning duties as assigned by the a Residential Leader
Support sustainable efforts as set out by the property
To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned
Form part of the Emergency Response team while on shift
SKILLS AND COMPENTENCIES
Fluent in English, reading and writing
Secondary education
Experience in a housekeeping supervisory role
Possesses a high degree of product knowledge and relevant technical skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision
