ATTORNEY QUALIFICATIONS: + Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar + Reside in the 10th Circuit or surrounding community within a reasonable time of accepting employment, an experienced appellate attorney may have the opportunity to work remotely. + Good knowledge of criminal law and procedure + Good knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices of legal research and investigation + Good knowledge of judicial procedures and the Rules of Evidence + Exceptional research, analytical, and writing skills + Strong computer skills including legal research + Ability to analyze legal documents and instruments + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with members of the staff and the appellate courts + Good skills in determining proper courses of action and presentation of facts and arguments + Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining adequate levels of communication and attention to individual clients. + Commitment to public service and protecting the rights of the criminally accused THE BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR THE STATE OF FLORIDA: Working for the State of Florida is more than a paycheck.
