The positions filled from this recruitment will be part of a team working on requests for videos created as a result of Tacoma Police Department's body-worn camera program. A Public Disclosure Video Redaction Analyst on this team will need experience with body-worn camera video review systems (such as Axon or CaseGuard) and will be required to process evidentiary videos and perform advanced-level redactions of video and audio, ensuring all body-worn camera recording and footage is properly cataloged and can be easily accessed and cross-referenced with case files, archiving videos and data in the system. Public Disclosure Video Redaction Analysts analyze, process, redact and collect camera and video footage from a variety of sources to complete enterprise-wide Public Disclosure Requests (PDRs) in accordance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and mandates. Under general direction, process evidentiary video, conduct research, apply independent analysis and judgement, and utilize technology to review, redact and produce public records. As a subject-matter expert, may coordinate with the City Attorney's Office and other City departments to ensure the public disclosure process is conducted in compliance with applicable requirements. This classification provides guidance and/or training to departmental public records coordinators. Qualifications An equivalent combination of education and experience to: Bachelor's degree in video production, broadcasting, communications or other related field AND three (3) years of experience in videotape/slide program production including operating audio, videotape production equipment. A combination of education and training which provides the experience necessary to perform the functions of the job will be considered. LICENSING, CERTIFICATIONS AND OTHER LEGAL REQUIREMENTS: + Attend annual WAPRO training + Certified Public Records Officer (CPRO) certificate or ability to obtain certification within 2 years of the appointment into the classification + Microsoft Search (Office 365 & SharePoint Discovery Center) software certification, e-Discovery Document Review software certification + Critical Infrastructure Protection Training (CIP) and Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Training certification within 30 days of appointment into the classification + Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) certification may be required for some positions + Possession of valid Washington Driver's license at time of appointment may be required + Must successfully pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check + Ability to obtain WA State Notary certification may be required + Applicants are required to submit to a c riminal history check, polygraph examination, fingerprint, and background investigation prior to appointment.
