Present during meetings, summits, and working sessions with senior client executivesProvide public health interoperability subject matter support across multiple client engagements; develop and review presentations, briefings, and memos, and reportsIdentify client needs and develop solutions to address client interoperability and data standard needsWork with public health agencies to identify, align, and implement data terminology and message structure to accepted data standardsCollaborate with technical team members to develop data engineering and application solutions aimed at transforming unstructured data to align with accepted data standardsEngage diverse audiences on healthcare and public health data terminology and exchange standards Support the writing and/or reviewing of implementation guides for health data exchange processesPrioritize and handle multiple tasks, researching and analyzing pertinent client, industry and technical matters, utilizing problem-solving skills, and communicating effectively in written and verbal formats to various audiences (including various levels of management and external clients) in a professional business environment;Exemplify and reinforce quality standards in work productsGather/create/share experiences in public health and data interoperability with focus on best practices
What You Will Need:
Bachelor degreeExperience with HL7 implementation guidesExperience with public health code sets and value sets for example LOINC or SNOMED or ICD5+ years of experience supporting federal, state, or local public health agenciesExperience with public health surveillance systems for jurisdictional reportable, national notifiable, syndromic, vital statistics, interstate sharing, electronic case notification, or other similar use casesKnowledge of recent and ongoing public health initiatives in surveillance and informaticsStrong understanding of health data exchange across the public health ecosystem, including intermediaries such as health information networksExperience working with structured and unstructured data types, and mapping data models to common clinical and public health data standardsStrong oral and written communication skills to advise and brief senior executives
Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, or other related fieldExperience working with Tribal public health or Tribal communitiesExperience with HL7 versions 2, 3, and FHIR public health data exchange standards, particularly electronic case report (eCR) and/or immunization messagesExperience working with code repositories and continuous integration (i.e. Git, Jenkins, etc.)Experience with CDC surveillance systems, i.e., NNDSS, Syndromic, NVSS, AIMS, ECR, EIP, or other similar use casesKnowledge of recent and ongoing CDC and HHS ASTP data modernization initiativesExperience with a mix of CDC/OD, CSELS, and CDC C/I/O ODs, and CDC research teams, e.g., in epidemiology, surveillance systems implementation, or program evaluationExperience working with a mix of health care providers, laboratorians, epidemiologists, health IT, etc. and knowledge of their working processes
