Public Relations Specialist
**Job Description** We’re looking for an amazing Specialist, Public Relations Here’s a summary of what Princess is looking for in its Specialist, Public Relations. Is this you? The Specialist, Public Relations is responsible for effectively managing media relations and support for media events for the brand for the Communications Team, supporting Public Relations leadership. This role interfaces with team members at all levels of the company including Senior Executives and fosters relationships with key constituent and influencers outside the company **Responsibilities** + Fields most media queries and generates response with timely and accurate information to meet deadlines. Presents recommendations for media opportunities to manager, including executive media interviews and broadcast opportunities. Drafts interview briefs with suggested talking points for manager review. + Reviews all incoming media FAM requests (reactive) and presents recommendations to manager based on outlet, reach and potential story placement. Manages media cruise concessions, travel arrangements including air, hotel and transfers with team coordinator, and executive assistant. + Communicates with media to provide guidance to confirm bookings, reserve tours and schedule, develop and produce press kits materials and follow up for story placement. Proactively communicates with hosted media to provide further support and determine what additional product information is needed for story development. + Support news release schedule with reviewing and assisting in securing approvals in timely manner to meet distribution timing. Proofread and lead distribution through web-based programs (PR Newswire and Agility). Manages online newsroom and decides appropriate sections of web page for materials to be posted. Drafts and updates existing media materials for the department, including ship and product fact sheets. + Supports team on the media component of the events, preparing media lists, invitations, managing RSVPs and confirmation emails. Handles logistical coordination for team and select ambassadors to coordinate air and hotel and ground transport. + Identifies new media for editorial pitching. Represents the brand through participation in relevant media marketplace events, identifying opportunities for future editorial opportunities. + Oversee monthly coverage reports and develops ad hoc coverage reports for key initiatives. **Requirements** + BA/BS Required -Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Business, Journalism​ or related field + 3-5 years of experience in public relations; agency or corporation experience preferred. + Travel industry or consumer brand experience preferred but not required. + Successful track record of independently handling multiple and complex events and initiatives. + Excellent oral and written communications skills, resourcefulness, ability to anticipate and solve problems. + Skills in Microsoft Suite and media relations software, such as Cision + Results-orientation, effective judgment, self-motivation, strong listening skills + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status). + **This position is considered Hybrid and follows the Company’s schedule of three days in the office per week (Tuesday – Thursday).
