Team Submarine’s Submarine Program Offices are responsible for:

The acquisition of COLUMBIA Class Submarines and for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating the resources required for the R&D, design, construction, Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E) of the class. The program is a major defense acquisition program and is of significant political importance with Congress and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).

 

The acquisition of VIRGINIA Class Submarines and for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating the resources required for the R&D, design, construction, Test and Evaluation (T&E), Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E), and Fleet introduction of the U.S. Navy’s newest class of nuclear attack submarines. The program is a major defense acquisition program with a total life cycle cost of approximately $336B. Additionally, successful improvement of the Class' capabilities is of significant political importance with Congress and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).

 

The SSN(X) Office is responsible for the acquisition and design of the future fast attack submarine and for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating the resources required for the R&D, design, construction, Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E) of the future submarine. The future Attack Submarine will be designed to retain multi-mission capability and sustained combat presence in denied waters with a focus on greater speed, stealth, and horizontal payloads and salvo rates.

 

You must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

 

Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for their Team Submarine contract supporting the acquisition of submarines. The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.

 

Serco-NA is seeking a motivated Public Relations Specialist to provide help to the Maritime Industrial Base (MIB) by providing critical communications, digital media, and public awareness of the MIB through various multimedia platforms and outlets. 

 

MIB has been tasked to grow and assist the industrial base through workforce development, supply chain analysis, and proven technology advancement with the maritime industrial base. This is a fast-paced environment requiring daily interactions with suppliers and other companies as you assist with achieving SIB’s mission. You will be 100% remote thus you must be a self-motivated person who can interface with leadership; identify issues with little guidance; take charge and drive your plan to success; and achieve actionable results that provide a return on investment.  This position will be filled remotely within the New England region as you work out of your home or travel to engage with suppliers and leadership.

 

In this role, you will:

Lead the program's social media presence across all platforms, developing and implementing comprehensive social media strategies Create, staff, and publish engaging content across social media platforms and the program's webpage Maintais and execute the program's social media content calendar, ensuring it is synchronized with the program’s editorial and content calendars. Collaborate with team members to manage community engagement and respond to social media inquiries Provide analytics and performance metrics for social media initiatives, including recommendations for improvement – better posts and increased reach  Ensure all social media content adheres to DOD and Navy policies and procedureDevelop modern and engaging multimedia content that increases program awareness and engagementCreate professional infographics, digital graphics, and visual elements for social media, web content, and print materialsDesign brochures, booklets, posters, and other visual products using desktop publishing softwarePrepare visual presentations and materials for speeches, lectures, and multimedia presentationsCollaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accurate representation of technical information in visual formatsMaintain a comprehensive project tracking system for graphics and multimedia assignmentsDevelop digital strategies for information campaigns across web and social media platformsAnalyze industry trends and emerging tools in social media and visual communicationAdvise command staff on visual communication strategies and social media best practicesDetermine appropriateness of information for release based on security and policy requirementsTravel to regional entities as required Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of experience managing social media platforms and creating visual contentDemonstrated expertise in social media strategy, content creation, and community managementProficiency in design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and CanvaExperience with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., HubSpot, Sprinklr, Analytics) is a plusActive knowledge and practitioner of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) and current trendsStrong project management skills with ability to handle multiple deadlinesExcellent attention to detail and strong organizational abilitiesProven track record of creating engaging visual content for diverse audiencesStrong writing and editing skills with impeccable grammarExperience in developing documentation including social media posts, infographics, fact sheets, info papers, articles, and blogsProficiency in Microsoft Office suite and content management systemsAbility to present data and recommendations effectively to leadershipApproximately 20% travel
