Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Public Relations Specialist I for the Department of University Press.

Among the key duties of this position are the following: Creates publicity and promotional campaigns for all books published by Rutgers University Press, including those published by our client/partner presses, (currently: Bucknell University Press, University of Delaware Press and Templeton Foundation Press), and especially on high-profile “trade” books, targeted at a general audience. Generates effective and significant print, broadcast, and electronic media: articles, reviews, and social media interest, to raise consumer awareness, among both scholarly and general interest readers, to raise the profile of the Press in our core publishing disciplines, the scholarly community, and in the book world, as well as at Rutgers and in the region, and ultimately, to increase sales. Serves as in senior position in the department and is included in the Director’s management team.
